As part of the AquaAlliance — Digitalisation for Sustainability project, funded by the EU NextGenerationEU programme under Spain's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, CIVIS has delivered 10 network improvement projects across three municipalities in Alicante province.
Technical Scope and Project Development
Commissioned by Veolia (Hidraqua), the engineering and consulting services span across the territories of Xixona, Algueña, and Mutxamel. The overarching goal of these strategic network proposals is to fully implement a comprehensive digital transformation of the urban water cycle.
This modern approaches are specifically designed to meet critical milestones:
• Climate Change Adaptation: Mitigating the risks related to long-term droughts and unexpected environmental impacts.
• Optimised Resource Management: Preventing pipeline leaks and managing network pressures through advanced data analysis.
• Water Body Safeguarding: Ensuring local water reservoirs and ecological flows are preserved.
Strategic Investment and Funding
These infrastructure modernization actions represent a short-term total investment of €6.5 million (VAT included) distributed across the three participating municipalities.
By upgrading local water supply lines with smart water monitoring tools, CIVIS continues to establish its regional leadership in utility asset management and civil engineering solutions. Our close collaboration with industry experts like Veolia and Hidraqua guarantees the successful deployment of green infrastructure practices.
