On February 6, members of the Construction Management Team of the Sagunto Intermodal Platform, - of which Civis Consultores works in joint-venture with Ardanuy Ingenieria S.A. and TYPSA-, has visited the facilities of Amurrio Ferrocarril y Equipos, S.A. to check the manufacture and pre-assembly processes of the first rail turnouts before the transportation to the Intermodal Plarform works in Sagunto (Valencia).
In addition to checking the correct execution and pre-assembly of the turnouts by our team, Amurrio Technical Director showed us all the tasks involved in manufacturing: from their technical conception, casting, roughing, pre-assembly, etc., and the complexity of the design and construction of these elements, designed entirely for this Spanish firm.
We thank all the people in Amurrio for the exceptional welcome, and the explanations they gave us about the history of the company, and the technical and social commitment, which we could see from the management team to the workers with whom we had the opportunity to talk throughout the visit.
