CIVIS collaborates within the framework of the PERTE (Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation) for the Digitalisation of the Urban Water Cycle
CONSTRUCTION
PROJECT
PROJECT
CIVIS delivered 10 construction projects for Veolia (Hidraqua) as part of the AquaAlliance — Digitalisation for Sustainability initiative, funded by the EU NextGenerationEU programme.
Goal: digital transformation of the urban water cycle — climate adaptation, resource optimisation, and the preservation of water body status across three Alicante municipalities.
Total budget: approximately €6.5 million (VAT included).
Description of the Interventions
Interventions by municipality:
Two projects: sewerage network renewal and stormwater collector extension. Ageing pipelines are failing — causing infiltration, odours and mosquito proliferation at a chronic low-point in the network.
Six projects: separate sewer system installation, network overload reduction, collector renewal, pipeline diversions for future capacity, and a new drinking water supply to a dispersed part of the municipality.
New stormwater sewer networks to separate systems, capture runoff, and improve the performance of the general sewerage network — ensuring effective management of rainwater across the municipality.
