CIVIS has prepared a total of 10 construction projects as part of Veolia (Hidraqua): AquaAlliance project. Digitalisation for Sustainability.

These projects aim to digitalise the urban water cycle in order to address adaptation needs arising from climate change, optimise water resources and their management, and cooperate in the preservation and recovery of the status of water bodies.

The total execution budget for these projects amounts to approximately €6.5 million (VAT included).

Description of the Interventions

The main planned actions are described below by municipality:

ALGUEÑA

In the municipality of Algueña, two projects have been prepared involving the renewal of part of the municipal sewerage network and the extension of a stormwater collector. The objective is to renovate the sewerage network, as the pipelines have reached the end of their service life, in order to prevent malfunctioning and infiltration problems. In addition, the projects aim to evacuate accumulated stormwater at a low point in the network, which currently causes unpleasant odours and the proliferation of mosquitoes in the surrounding area.

XIXONA

A total of six projects have been prepared for the municipality of Xixona with the aim of providing a separate sewerage system in certain areas of the municipality, minimising network overload problems, renewing part of the existing wastewater and stormwater collectors, diverting certain pipelines to facilitate the implementation of future facilities, and providing a new drinking water supply network to serve a dispersed area of the municipality.

MUTXAMEL

The projects proposed in Mutxamel involve the construction of new stormwater sewer networks in order to create separate systems and capture runoff in part of the municipality, thereby improving the performance of the general sewerage system and ensuring the effective and efficient management of rainwater.
