Project Objective
To address the shortage of parking areas within the municipality of Benidorm, one of the goals established in the city’s Integrated and Sustainable Urban Development Strategy.
The specific objective is therefore the construction of a park‑and‑ride facility at one of the city’s main access points.
Scope of Works
• Provide the city of Benidorm with new park‑and‑ride areas, addressing the current shortage of parking facilities.
• Create sustainable transport nodes that connect the park‑and‑ride facilities with the city centre.
• Promote the use of more sustainable modes of transport, reducing reliance on private vehicles in urban environments and thereby lowering greenhouse gas emissions associated with road traffic.
• Urbanise and organise an existing open area that is currently being used informally and without control as a parking space.
• Develop a parking area connected to El Moralet Park, improving accessibility and encouraging greater use and enjoyment of the leisure and recreational spaces located within the park.
